Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced a second lockdown due to the rising number of Covid cases. We remain open and there are no restrictions to medical and dental treatments, and we encourage you to keep your appointments. We now have all the correct PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and the protocols in place to provide dental care safely.
Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.
Our practice follows infection control guidelines made by the governing bodies. We are up to date on new guidance that has been issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to recommendations. These keep changing from time to time, but we are working hard to keep on top of the latest guidance. You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:
We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
How you can help:
Due to the current guidelines, after carrying out an AGP (Aerosol Generated Procedure ie drilling), the room has to be left for 20-30 minutes in order for the aerosol to settle. This is followed by a thorough cleaning of the treatment room including all surfaces. This is to ensure that all surfaces that have been
contaminated are thoroughly disinfected. This time has reduced from previous guidelines(1 hour) but still has an effect on the numbers of patients we can see.
There is also a new patient journey which you can download here that summarises what to expect.
Finally, rest assured, we are the same dental practice, with the same staff, who all want to help our patients. However, we will look different due to the PPE we have to wear, and the journey will be a little different. All these precautions are to safeguard you and our staff.
If you need to call us, please call between 9:00 am and 5:00pm Monday-Friday on 07419832628 or the surgery on 01604 706887
I'm writing to thank you and your team for the wonderful care and attention that you provided during my root canal surgery.
I would have no hesitation in recommending you and your practice to friends and family.
This is a long overdue note to say the hugest THANK YOU for the amazing treatment I had to releive my agonizing tooth/gum (everywhere)! Pain!!
The very worst bit was simply having to keep my mouth open for 3 hours!! - not to mention all the work you had to do over that period non stop.......
You are a complete SAINT!!
This is just a note to say thank you so much for completing my root canal treetment today. Despite my initial misgivings relating to pain and ongoing after effects I must say the whole process was smooth, painless and almost zero after effects. Most successful I would say.
My wife also had a very similar experience so we will both be delighted to make use of your services again if necessary
apologies for the delay in contacting you but I just wanted to let you know that as someone who REALLY doesn't like visiting the dentist you made my recent visit a very relaxed experience.
Having recently had root canal treatment carried out by Mr Khatri, I am able to tell everyone who asks that it was nothing to warry about, it did not hurt, there was no discomfort afterwards and I was eating on the offending tooth without a problem, only a few hours after treatment.
In addition you can see the work being done on a TV screen if you want to watch. I did, and found it fascinating
